3. Deploying Docs

Overview

To find the correct folder that has the files to deploy, you should follow this path:

GrabCAD > Product Type > Size > PN > Shell and Layout

Example:

GrabCAD > Powered Pulleys > 81mm > OD65-10-81-240-10280(100046) > Shell and Layout

Once you’ve find the correct folder, you should see 4 files. See image below for example:

Open .STEP file in eDrawings

  • Open the .STEP file that matches the product number
    • To find the correct folder that has the files to deploy, you should follow this path:

GrabCAD > Product Type > Diameter > PN > Shell and Layout

Example:

GrabCAD > Powered Pulleys > 81mm > OD65-10-81-240-10280(100046) > Shell and Layout

Once you’ve find the correct folder, you should see 4 files. See image below for example:

Open the .STEP file

  • You may need to select .STEP as file type

Create 3D Image

Rotate the image so that the motor is slightly higher and angled away on the right side (see image below for example)

  • Select the symbol that shows 2 arrows in a circle. See image:

  • Change the background to white
    • Click options (the cogwheel at top)
    • Click the color that shows next to “Override document background:”
    • This will open color panel
      • Select white
    • “Use gradient background” should NOT be checked
  • Go to “View” and enable:
    • Shaded with Edges
    • Perspective
    • Ambient Occlusion

  • Use a screen capture program to take a screen shot of the motor
  • Image should be 1600 x 958
  • Save it as the last 5 numbers of the part number

 

  • White background used
  • “Shaded With Edges” selected
  • “Perspective” selected
  • “Ambient Occlusion” selected
  • Size 1600 x 958
